First pitch was just announced for 3:30 p.m. (East Coast time) here in Detroit. Of course, it started raining hard as soon as we heard that. It’s 3 p.m. right now, so we’ll see if they start playing ball in 30 minutes … An A’s player ran out on the field a few minutes ago, circled the bases (with the tarp still on) and dove into home plate. I couldn’t see his uniform number, and he had a beanie on, but it looked a lot like Dallas Braden. …. Shocker.
