Canseco, this response comes a little late since we know Cust homered yesterday … I asked him about his homerless drought before yesterday’s game, and he said he wasn’t concerned. Ditto for Bob Geren. Cust thinks his homers will come. … You can tolerate his strikeouts if there’s some power coming along w/it. But right now, that’s not the case. He needs to start popping the ball over the fence to justify his presence in the lineup. I’m sure you’re w/me on that …
