Looks like Shin choo chin is exempt of military service as of november 19th. Go get him. he made a bit over $400,000 last year… damn why dejesus and not him?

no, he can and just did avoid military service by winning the asian games. i think chan ho park had a similar deal years back.

Just i nice thought trade sweeney micheal tayor and a pitching prosect for Shin choo chin the indians are shopping him around. Then instead of spending the money on beltre go after Dunn or berkman and this i what the line up would be for the next few years and there would be no doubt with there pitching they make the playoffs 3 times out of the next 5 years

I’m not sure how important a piece of the puzzle Rajai really was. If they’d chose to not keep Coco Crisp, then sure…but for all the excitement Rajai brings he had a .320 OBP and 697 OPS. Just because he was important piece to the puzzle the last few years…well, it was a pretty bad looking puzzle so it’s pretty obvious they need some new, better important pieces. And where was he going to play anyway with DeJesus, Crisp, Sweeney & Carter around? Then if they like Jackson…there’s no playing time for him except for as a pinch runner and he’s going to be making way too much money for that now. And he’s 30 years old. Not like they are giving up on a 24-year old who might get better…Rajai is who he is at this point.
