wow. i dunno what kinda stuff had to go down for this to go through, but wow. very excited to have chris townsend on board throughout the day, the man is straight talk when it comes to sports and doesnt give the BS.

this is an exciting event for the a’s and sharks, who get almost zero play on knbr (except for when the sharks make the playoffs). i love the gary radnich show with dibbs and p-con in the mornings, and damon bruce on 1050 is pretty decent, but the two clowns fitz and brooks have no reason to be on air. basically, if you dont agree with their narrow view points, they’ll call you a moron. its great to have an alternative sports talk station to turn the dial to.

I can’t overstate how excited I am at this new development. We have been starved for A’s talk on the radio, as well as a good alternative to KNBR.

This is fantastic news, and long, long overdue. The A’s, as well as Raiders, have been missing out on tremendous opportunity to build a better fan base and loyalty by not having daily coverage – where the Giants have had strong coverage for years. I hope this is the start of a long-term home for A’s fans to turn to for quality programming all-day long.

So, how may this impact Giants ownership’s position on t-rights? Going to perhaps make them dig in even more with this deal and new threat to their radio advantage? maybe just up their price to giv eup the fight?

Whatever, hopefully Oakland can build a castle in the sky and the A’s stay in Oakland.

This is great. Better than the A’s owning KTRB – no signal at night, or driving up in and I live in Oakland.
