A morning update for you …
The A’s made a bullpen move, optioning lefty Jerry Blevins to Triple-A Sacramento and calling up right-hander Trystan Magnuson for his major league debut. Magnuson, 25, was acquired along with reliever Danny Farquhar from Toronto for Rajai Davis in November.
This move doesn’t come as a big surprise. Blevins walked 12 in 13 2/3 innings and carried a 4.61 ERA. The move now gives the A’s four right-handed relievers and three lefties. A bit more to come later …
