Sorry for the delay, Wes. No, there aren’t any prospects who can be plugged into the MLB team to give it hope at this point. Oh wait, we’re talking about pitchers, right? Seriously, the A’s are plagued with some bizaar injury bug, and ownership can’t be blamed for it… of course, the head trainer hasn’t done enough to keep the team healthy for several years, so another poster will beg to differ… I think the A’s are cursed with the Raiders due to Mt. Davis.

Jan-part of my point is-those are false complaints by now. More a cover story to keep the MLB revenue welfare in his pocket. Its just common sense by now that IF this decision he claims is as all important to him,then WHY? WHY? did he snap at Chris Townsend in defense of Selig taking his time and giving Lou at least a deadline? Incredibly, Wolf shot back at Townsend “Why would he?” “He’s busy with baseball first and I respect that” WHAT???
Any lawyer worth his salt could draw out Wolff as a liar.
Oh,yeah sure..If taxpayers and cities gave Wolf a half or three quarters of a billion in funding..for free. ALL a cover story.
I,like Ray Ratto know-If Wolff wanted to build in San Jose out of pocket Jerry Jones style in San Jose..he’s welcome to do it.
No,he and the Fisher family like and have enjoyed this near decade of $300 million in profits off the A’s with nothing but adding a tarp as out of pocket expenses!

Stan, Excuse me for the interuption, but Wolff did complain a few months ago about dragging on of things. However, what does Wolff gain, if he seeks to win public opinion? Is it going to change Selig’s mind? Here’s an answer. Mt. Selig wasn’t moved when certain Congressmen threatened to remove baseball’s privileged anti-trust laws due to the steriod scandal. The best thing for the MLB is for the government to remove such a clause. Unfortunately, Americans don’t see the root of the problem, so it won’t happen.

Wollf is a mobster,with his Slick Billy. Listen to him and its clear he’s playing Oakland ,fans,for maximum dollars with the least effort to win. He says he’s Waiting for his best bud commish to rule..then defends Selig for now going into three years of no ruling! Would you defend a bank for making you wait three years for a loan that would change your life? No,of course not-and thats what makes Wolff’s need to move a cover story. If Wolff and the Fishers really are so frustrated, they sure dont seem to be willing to change things or sell-do they?

Wes, It could be worse, a la the Mariners where ownership waste a whole lotta money on crappy talent. I’d rather follow a team with potential like the A’s after Beane sends the old fellas packing to greener pastures. Also, greatness was dead a long time ago, when the Giants started the trend of huge salaries with Barry Bonds. Then, they started a new trend of dumping huge amounts of money on iffy talent a la Zito. Hence, I’d love for fans to jump ship for this reason of out-of-control spending, but it will never happen, since people need a distraction from their mundane lives. Sadly, it is making a bigger gap between the haves and havenots. There’s my 2 cents, why people shouldn’t go to games. Send a clear message to the Commish that his friend in Oakland can’t make money, if they continue business as usual.
