An update from the Coliseum …
A’s starter Guillermo Moscoso has a no-hitter intact through seven innings against the Royals. Moscoso is at 90 pitches and really hasn’t given up much hard contact, although he has just three strikeouts. The closest thing to a hit so far was Johnny Giavotella’s liner to left-center in the fourth, on which Coco Crisp made a nice running grab. Moscoso set an Oakland record by retiring 30 consecutive batters — stretching to his last start Friday. One batter after setting the mark, he walked Alcides Escobar with two outs in the sixth for his first base runner.
