Susan Slusser gave a totally one sided argument to the A’s future,repeating how Beltran took less to play for another team then to take the “more” the A’s offered. Susan always see’s things Beane mans way. She even gave that and the age of the Coloseum as to blame for the owners moving or new owners moving the team out of the bay area.
Susan doesnt take into consideration that all that falls under self fulfilling prophecy..Wolff and Beane have done everything they can to kill off fans. Tarps,to trading the best players,to badmouthing the eastbay. And as for Beltran taking less? So did Cliff Lee to go to Phillie..because he wanted to play for a WINNER. Maybe Beltran see’s the A’s org as I do..no real interest in championships unless they luck into one.So,he figures why waste his career with that ORG.?..Its not Oakland..it the owners and GM who drive away free agents. And that fits what Wolff and Beane want..either we stay a welfare ownership and field perpetual also rans..or we get a new stadium somewhere-and no promise that we will THEN build a winner!
And A’s fans know THAT’S the REAL truth!

I did some deep numbers crunching and research(ok all wiki) and I see that Moneyball cost 50 mill and has made back 60 mill. A modest hit for Pitt. By comparison “Mr and Mrs Smith” a movie he made with Angelina has made A HALF BILLION dollars. 900 are profit.
