I’m an A’s fan and been going down to AZ for Spring Training for 17 years. PHX Muni is a small but fine park. I agree about the desert feel of the park. The biggest issue I think is parking. Very easy to get in and out of the park. There is a large lot across from the park and a bridge to get into the park itself. The parking situation at Hohokam sucks to put it mildly and there is nothing around the stadium. At least PHX Muni is near Mill Ave in Tempe and just down the road from Old Town Scottsdale.

I also would be very sad to see the A’s leave Phoenix Muni – it’s a great place to watch spring training baseball. It would be one thing to move into a new state of the art facility like Talking Stick or Suprise, but to move to Hohokam – in the older, dilapidated part of Mesa, which the Cubs want out of, would provide more space and more seats but loose so much more.
