if they dont give up the farm for him and either they can send some salary back to marlins or have marlins pay part of his salary, they should definitely consider it. This will definitely help A’s make that push for the playoffs. Even though he’s currently not having a fantastic season but he’s still doing better than all the SS combine..I am a lil worried if he becomes a cancer to the team but I’m sure the team won’t let that happen. Go for it!

I am more I interested in what we would have to give up… Also, really interested in knowing what the plan for Brett Anderson is this year? I’d hate to take anyone out of the rotation right now, and i think we need to hang on to colon for his experience and intangibles. Would Melvin ever consider a 6 man rotation for the last two months? It would give all the youngsters a little break on their arms and give Anderson a bit more rest between starts. Just a thought…

The A’s can afford him..you said so. With this season being lightning in a bottle they should go for it..what they do with him in two years?..that’s been the problem..no hurry for today.

I guess that’s one way to get guys who won’t come to Oakland as a free agent. Considering that Ramirez produced in that crappy old ballpark, then it’s reasonable to think that hitting in Oakland shouldn’t be a problme for him. if in fact this season’s suckiness isn’t a sign of something else and that he’s not going to be a wet blanket with playing in front of small crowds.
