I wanted to reiterate how much I enjoy the coverage, detail and dedication (especially from a non Cal alum!). Second, I think this side of Coach Tedford is something that makes him very special. One of your fellow scribes (Dave Newhouse) wrote a similar article a year or so ago. It described how hard it is for Tedford to spend a lot of time with his family due to his work ethic. It was quite a moving article. I witnessed it myself as I shared a Southwest plane ride home with the team following the Insight Bowl after the ’03 season. You could tell how much his family meant to him. In any event, I wanted to thank you for sharing that part of Tedford with us — it reminds us that he’s not the ‘coaching machine’ he sometimes comes off as. Also, thanks once again, for all of your work.
