It may be raining these days….

….but believe it or not, spring practice seems like it’s right around the corner. Just got some of the specifics on the spring. The first practice is on March 17. In general, they practice about three days a week for for about a month with a 10-day break near the beginning. Spring practice ends with the third and final scrimmage on April 17.

In years past, the final spring practice was a spring game. Last year, it was more like a controlled scrimmage with situational practice. That’s what it will be like again this year. Haven’t heard for sure if it’s open to the public, but the last practice usually is. As always, all other practices are closed to the public.

So there you have it. Get your helmet and pads on because before you know it, we will be following the competition at quarterback, wide receiver, running back, the defensive line, free safety and cornerback, just to name a few.
