Hey Jonathon,

I feel wonderful and sad at the same time hearing great reports that our 2007 Cal Bear seniors are performing well post the downward spiral. We all knew the players were fantastic on a national level if given the chance...and at times they were. But, the "what-if's" for the 2007 season (If Great Bear QB = Rose Bowl baby!) still punch me in the face. I just know that all of the Bear Seniors and Juniors could be in a better "I remember when" place if there were just a few changes (well mostly one). Still looking forward to 2008 with Passion for my bears!

GO BERKELEY BEARS!

Hey J.O.,

It's great to see these guys shine in national practices. ESPN had an interview with Lavelle, and he seemed to be his typical upbeat self, even though he denied Jerry Rice as his favorite 49er receiver and chose T. "someone get me some meds" Owens.

On another subject, I've read elsewhere that Boatang is, then isn't registered at Cal, so it would be nice if someone, who has Tedford's ear, could set the facts straight. I'd also like to know how Tedford's discussion with him went and how he might fit into next year's plans with respect to returning kickoffs and punts. More precisely how does his speed compare with the other competitors for these roles like Best, Ross, Slocum, Vereen and new-comer Juco WR Tucker who has been said to be the biggest prize of this year's class? Is there also a chance of Boateng playing bball next year? GO YOU BEARS!
