Dball is right. Both DeBoskie and Payne are here and will participate in the spring.

Kid, from what I read on Rivals.com, both Deboskie and a DT by the name of Kendrick Payne graduated from high school in December and enrolled early at Cal, for the spring semester. JO can correct me if I’m wrong but this should mean that they both can participate in spring practice, whereas the other recruits won’t show up until the summer practice.

Deboskie is a stud, maybe underrated on Rivals.com as only a 3-star prospect. The kid is smart, with a 4.0+ GPA, and he’s a physical machine at 6’0, 190lbs, and a 4.3 40-yard time (reported on Rivals as 4.4, but other reports say he’s a legitimate 4.3 guy). I’d say that the current RB corps will have work trying to keep their jobs, and having Deboskie there early for spring practice is only going to make the chances that much better of seeing him on the field in the fall.

Anyone who has ever watched Jahvid run a 100m or 200m know how big of a track talent this young man is. Winning the State Meet in 10.3 and runner-up in the 200m in 20.63 ( to LBP’s Bryshon Nellum )was one of the most amazing “doubles” that I have seen at a California State Meet in quite some time.

This kid is very special.
An extremely humble young man too.
Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery!

Can’t wait to get into MEMORIAL in the spring! JO do you know if any of the recruits are going to be there in the spring or most of them not until the fall like JAVHID last year? I seen the Deboskie kid was in the Army Game is he some marquee player who will have an immediate impact?
