NFL combine

Cal has seven players that have been invited to the NFL combine. They are:
RB Justin Forsett
WR Lavelle Hawkins
WR DeSean Jackson
OL Mike Gibson
TE Craig Stevens
DB Thomas DeCoud
P Andrew Larson
The combine is Feb. 20-26 in Indianapolis.
On another note, Cal says ticket prices will not change for the 2008 season. Of course, with one more home game, the total price of season tickets will go up. Tickets are expected to go on sale to the general public around the beginning of spring practice, in the middle of March.

TIcket prices may not be changing, but they are going the route of PSLs and are forcing us to “donate” money to keep our seats. My family has had these seats for years and we’re going to pony up to keep them.
I understand the need to do this, but it still seems untimely after a horribly disappointing season and an ’08 which could be a rebuilding year. Oh well, I’m in it for the long haul…

Yeah, tell me about it. For all the money we’re “donating”, they better buy some really good chainsaws! I can’t wait to knock those treetards out of those trees! I’d pay to watch that!

How about we get rid of the general seating and go with reserved through out. General seating was out of control last year. Not having a seat for the Tenn game really sucked.

BigD– I agree. They should fundraise by selling 3 tries, with baseballs for $5, to knock the treesitters out from their perch. If you get a baseball inside their pottybucket, you win a Golden Bear stuffed animal! Better yet, how about a shooting gallery to knock the treesitters out of the trees!

FYI, I heard that the agency Desean signed with brought in Jerry Rice to prep him for the combine!! That’s sweet!

Any news on (K) Tom Schneider who applied for a fifth year from NCAA after sitting out the year with a injury?

Mark, there are only so many players that can be invited and I’m assuming Robert just wasn’t strong enough to make the cut. One, no news on Schneider, but I’d very surprised if he gets the extra year.
