I am sure Berkley fans believe you. First there was Joe Ayoob, the white Michael Vick (without the dogs, the legs and the arm) who JT stayed with for 8 games.

Then there was Herman Munster Longchoker who JT stayed with for a 1-6 collapse andnow brings spring starting again.

Just remember 3 strikes and your out.

The defense certainly couldn’t carry the team at any point last year, exhibiting some of the worst tackling and coverage techniques you could show. I’m shocked that Bob Gregory is still the DC.

Hey DoubleH,

Let’s remember we could see a very different Tedford this year. The exhausted and often-ill man of last year is gone. Lesson learned. A clearer-head Tedford is what we should expect so long as he follows through on his new lighter work regiment. With Cignetti on board, I’m betting it will be a good coaching year. My biggest concern is with the lack of experience on offense, and can the defense carry the team at least for the first part of the season? Go You Bears!

Tedford’s first 3 years versus the last 3: early on the system was based on what the QB did well while lately it seems like Tedford is trying to build a QB to fit into his system. Tedford is still a good coach in my book, he’s just forcing things. Tedford needs to remember one of the things he teaches a QB: don’t force things, just make the most of what you’re given.

Oski, you know I’ll be at the games regardless. I just don’t want to have to take 10 antacids before and after each game (which is what I’ll have to do if NL starts)! Hmm, but maybe that beer will help with that! LOL

Nooo! No more NL! This guy’s got no fire! And his comment sounds an aweful lot like the excuses he continually floated out to the media last year, “Technique and fundamentals, getting back to the basics. It’s definitely one of those things when you get caught up in the season and you’re trying to concentrate so much on winning this week, you lose track of the little details.”

He’s doing the same song-and-dance he and Tedford did during our downward spiral last season: it’s just the details we’re missing, we just need to stick to the fundamentals, blah blah, etc. They were just empty excuses for a QB who couldn’t get it done when the game was on the line.

At least Longshore is SAYING all the right things. I think the QB situation is good. I still think that Tedford will start NL for the first few games and give KR some playing time at certain times and packages, then by the 4th or 5th game KR will move into the starter role and NL will become the senior mentor(Barring any injuries to either QB). Although JT says he doesn’t like the 2 QB style, he has done it before with Rodgers and Robertson.
