If the new unis give the players a psychological boost; I love them! (although the stripe on the helmet is kind of high school-ish). Go bears!

I had already seen these uniforms and I think the helmet strip is supposed to be a single bear claw. Let me tell you, these unis are way better than OSU’s training bra looking unis!

Me again. Still not crazy about the new jerseys and pants (very Robocop-ish) but I just saw the helmets and they are very cool. Love the classic CAL script and the bear paw on the back. The helmet stripe is also cool. Looks like a very SHARP mohawk from the top and from the front appears to be a single fang. I guess the other one broke off in an opponents A@@! Roll on you Bears!

I’m not too crazy about the “horsecollar” look of the jerseys. Haven’t seen the helmets yet. Where are they pictured? One thing I do know. The more games the Bears win, the better the uniforms will begin to look. Go Bears!

Uniforms are no big deal, and at least no one will mistake Cal and West Virginia.

Nike pays about $1mil of Tedford’s salary and uniform changes are just a part of that deal. I don’t buy nike gear anyways because some of it ends up going to the ducks.

Uhh, just noticed the helmet. Uh, ok, how do I say this politely…NO!! That looks like crap! What the hell? Now we have a ‘racing stripe’ down our helmets? The uniforms aren’t the best but they are ‘ok’ and I can deal with it. The helmets, on the other hand, have to go. It’s true winning is most important but win or lose I would like us to look like a respectable D1 football team, not my local high school program.

Since Nike has been so helpful in assisting the program, maybe Phil Knight will drop 100 mil in Berkeley as he did in Eugene. Wouldn’t hurt. I believe he did the same for the Stanford business program.

WE need to start & continue tradition with our program and playing this change your jerseys every few years is crap.

For once I agree with a Cal State fan. One of the reasons why USC is so admired is because we have tradition. We don’t change uniforms and colors. We don’t need to. If you win that’s all you need to do. Eveything else is just window dressing.

If the players like them…good. I hope it provides them an edge.

From a design standpoint…ewww. It’s has Nike “branding crap” written all over it. The helmets are REALLY BAD. The clean Cal script is classic. The weird arrow/pointer stripe is goofy and busy. Looks like D3 unis. Someone should go kick Phil Knight in the groin.

Perhaps they’ll look better in person…perhaps not.

OTOH, if Cal gets to the Rose Bowl…who the F cares.
