The quarterbacks keep on coming

Cal commit Allan Bridgford from Mission Viejo has been selected for the Elite 11 quarterback camp, a four-day event featuring the top prep quarterbacks in the country. The 11 signal-callers are whittled down from a field of over 1,000, so Bridgford clearly is among the cream of the crop nationally.

The even will be held in Southern California next Monday through Thursday.

Several big names have come through the camp in the past, including Vince Young, Matt Leinart and JaMarcus Russell.

Bridgford continues an impressive recent run of high-level quarterbacks to commit to Cal. Current signal-callers Nate Longshore, Kevin Riley and Brock Mansion all also participated in the Elite 11 camp.

Did Sweeney participate in the Elite 11 camp?

Allan Bridgford looks pretty sharp in the recruiting videos posted on Rivals.com, though he’s got the same 3/4 arm motion that some of our other Cal QBs have had, that drives me nuts. Good news is that he’s got the mobility of Riley and he’s young and will develop even better mechanics over time. Riley, Mansion, Sweeney, Bridgford….nice line of succession.

Jeez, this is going to make it tough on JT to carry on his tradition of starting the least talented QB on the team.

Its sad to see pathetic whiners before the first snap of the season. What Selfish, Self-centered whiney punks.

I think FeveredBear is just “FedUpBear,” version 2.0. He probably got tired of us calling him out on his Tedford bashing…

    Can anyone say “Amy”?

    Take a lesson from J.O. …

    DON’T FEED THE TROLLS!

To answer Big D, I don’t think Sweeney was invited to Elite-11. He’d be the first Cal Recruit since Rodgers. But, it makes no difference, since pre-college hype doesn’t always translate into stardom.
