Training camp tidbits

I got a copy of Cal’s training camp schedule. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Camp begins Aug. 4
  • Aug. 8 is the first day in pads
  • The Bears will have four double-day sessions: Aug. 9, Aug. 11, Aug. 16 and Aug. 18
  • Cal has four practices in just helmets, eight in shells, and 11 in full pads
  • Fan Appreciation Day is Aug. 23 from 12-2 p.m.

As always, all practices are closed to the public.

what’s the deal with all the practices being closed. I mean come on SC has all of their practices open to the public so that the community feels apart of the program. Tedford cannot be that paranoid of espionage? could he?
SC i’m sad to say is a more high profile program and has a ton to lose but you don’t see the coaches shooing off the fans. the athletic department or f-ball staff should possibly think about that. perhaps more people would start donating or getting season tix if they felt more apart of it.

    go blue

Kid, If you didn’t see the news, donations are at an all-time high. I read that at californiagoldenblogs.com if you need a source.
