Great analysis. I think that the USC receiving corps will step it up this year. I was dumbfounded by the their receivers last year. There starters were huge recruits and did almost nothing. Hazelton was good, but Turner and Ausberry sucked. Count on transfer Damien Williams to turn heads and for Hazelton to step as well.

I will not be surprised if ASU and Oregon falter this season and if they do, Cal may not be in line for second place. OSU gets underrated every year.

Thank you for putting UCLA where they belong.

For the ducks. Don’t forget about the JC transfer Lagarret Blunt. I don’t think I spelt it right. I’m a husky fan. But blunt is actually bigger then stewart. Just as fast. And other then a fifth grade broken leg has never been hurt.

Well, off the field, DeSean gave up a lot of money, free rent, loaner cars, free-pass classes, free legal advice for date rapes and other “benefits” of being a USC “student”-athlete. I’m sure his parents were a bit bummed when they compared bank accounts with reggie’s parents as well.

….and with a 1200+ SAT score, DeSean knew he wouldn’t fit in at U$C.

Big D, Jan K, and Dan, get used to the same view. Looking up at USC from the middle of the Pac. Lots of talent but lack of wins. Think DeSean Jacksons regrets choosing Cal over USC? 2 Rosebowl wins and a loss in the NC Title game. Have fun in 4th place.

I don’t even care where we finish anymore. Just beat $C and Stanfurd in the same year. Rose Bowl Schmose Bowl, I don’t believe anymore that it will happen while I’m alive. . .and I’m in my 30′s.
Yeah, last season was a rough one even for a weathered Cal fan.

J.O., You’re brave man since you are the first local to post your expectations. And, I give you kudos for that. The only thing that I disagree with you on is that I think ASU will be proven as a fraud this year, and they won’t be in the top-3 of the PAC.
