Agreed. One season doesn’t make a coach. I’ve becme increasingly critical of Tedford after many questionable coaching decisions (IMHO) over several seasons. The decisions to which I’m referring have been discussed at length on these blogs. Win-Loss records is just a piece of the pie.

Although I do not have a good connection with the “Almighty”, I’m praying Tedford surprises us on the upside this season. Like everyone else, just want to see success for our Bears.

FYI – Just checked. All of the coaches Gerson_Bakar mention (except Willingham and Tedford) had achieved great consistent success by their sixth year.

p.s. right off the top of my head, I’m pretty sure Schiano didn’t have a winning season last year, but no one is calling to “fix” things yet and east coast fans are suppossedly more hardcore than us west coast folk.

Gbear – what is “waiting too long”? its been 0 games since last season.

i provided a the link if you want to delve deeper into coach records. most coaches have had bad years. to think one off season is too long before the season even starts is a pretty short leash IMHO.

It would be interesting to see how many of the coaches Gerson_Bakar mentioned lost 6 games in their sixth season. We can’t wait too long to solve this problem because support, funding, and recruiting will dry up without reasonable success on the field.

The funny thing about anonymous trolls is that they think their petty rants on obscure forums means something because its on the screen.

I saw something on my screen this morning from some unknown guy named STEWART MANDEL on a little known site called SPORTS ILLUSTRATED. Here’s something he comented on:

“After more than two years of grandstanding, it appears the walls are finally caving in on ‘ol Reggie, who remains one of the three most exciting players I’ve ever covered but also, as it turns out, one of the biggest phonies……..his testimony will simply reaffirm everything we already know about the hordes and hordes of extra benefits Bush and his family allegedly received while still a collegiate athlete, at which time the NCAA can officially decree what we’ve long since assumed: That Bush was ineligible at the time.”

In the end, the opinion of professionals like Mandel mean buckets more than insignificant snipes from a lonely troll.

Yeah Steve, it is called “don’t feed the troll”. She’ll eventually get bored, if no one responds. In a way, I’m feeding her by even responding to you. There’s also another toll. If we see her post and all of us post one reply to J.O., her post will be lost in the shuffle. Amy gets enough love from other schools like MSU Scout.com site, so she’ll go away, eventually. Cal fans take back BearTalk from the sociopath!
