AP top 25

The Associated Press preseason top 25 was released today. Cal was just out of the rankings, earning 59 votes for No. 28. The Bears got 41 votes in the first USA Today poll, putting them at No. 32. USC is ranked second, Arizona State is at No. 15 and Oregon at No. 21.

Michigan State, Cal’s first opponent, received 21 votes to come in at No. 35.

Four other Pac-10 teams received votes: UCLA 6 (No. 41), Oregon State 5 (No. 42), Arizona 3 (No. 45) and Washington 1 (t-48th).

    The USC Trojans are the best team in the Pac 10 once again and will finish that way plus be the National Champs in my thoughts. I think them and Florida will play for the National Championship game in the Orange Bowl. USC:40 Florida:17
