It has been revealed on the boards that the reason Amy had to leave law school (the fool befriended someone on the boards who told all her secrets) was that she had to take a medical leave. Three years ago.

The only medical leave that takes 3 or more years to recover from is where they use “medical” as a euphamism for “mental breakdown”. Amy is what she is because she is mentally ill. That’s why she has all this time to post and it’s why this obsession with Cal is so important to her. She’ sick. And since we are not therapists, we will never change her.

But pity her — it must be a sad and lonely life.

This thread is what separates USC fans (and many others) from fans from UCB. After you guys got pounded and thoroughly taken to the cleaners by Maryland (a lower tier ACC team), I came on here saying I would post only once about your thrashing and once only. I followed through with my promise. On the other hand, when USC loses you guys act like the first time ytou learned how to text message. You guys make me laugh. You are so obsessed with our success. Even if the game is close you come on acting like you won. “Well gee in 2004 we gained more yards than they did so we must be the better team.” Why do I continue to come on here? 1) to educate your fan base; 2) to remind you that it is a long season; 3) because you make me laugh.

Please explain the meaning of “reps” to this ancient.
Back in the bronze age, when I was on campus (and Sather Gate was the southern limit)we used “snaps.” I presume the two are related, but I need the voice of authority here.(If you prefer, use my email.)

An elementary teacher starts a new job at a school in
Corvallis and trying to make a good impression on her
first day, explains to her class that she’s a Beavers
fan. She asks the class to raise their hands if they
too are Beavers fans. Everyone in the class raises
their hand except one little girl.

The teacher looks
a little surprised and says: “Mary, why didn’t you
raise your hand?”

“Because I’m not a Beavers fan,”
she replied. The teacher asked, “Well, if you’re not a
Beavers fan, then who do you support?”
“I’m a Cal Bears fan, and proud of it,” Mary replied.

The teacher, now becoming interested in the lone
dissenter asks,”Mary, why are you a Cal Bears fan?”
“Because my Mom and dad are Cal alumni and my
Mom is a Cal Bears fan and my dad is a Cal Bears fan, so I’m a Cal Bears fan too!”

“Well,” said the teacher, in an obviously annoyed
tone, “that’s not necessarily a reason for you to be a
Cal Bears fan. You don’t have to be just like your
parents all of the time. What if your Mom was a
illiterate college grad and your dad took steriods and money to play football in college, what would you be then?”

Mary said, “I’d be a SC fan.”

I would wager that perhaps Jahvid may have drank too much due to the humidity, as the rest of the players did. Too much in the stomach + bone crushing hit = barfola.

Robert, there doesn’t appear to be much change in the receiver rotation. But I think Michael Calvin may start coming on soon because he is looking healthier and running more fluidly. Tucker continues to get reps, but he’s still behind Young, Cunningham, Calvin, Boateng, etc.

J.O. what do you see the latest pecking order of the receivers being? Is V. Tucker looking better in practice? Also, do you see either Owusu or Bemoll doing much this year?

Did all the Bears players drink the same breakfast concoction that Jahvid Best did? That could have been the problem for the team’s poor performance against Maryland. By the look of what poor Jahvid upchucked, it’s amazing he kept it down as long as he did. I wonder if a lot of the other Bears were feeling a bit squeemish after ingesting some of that awful stuff?

Mabe U$C’s Joe McKnight drank some of that same brew before the game last night as he had an even worse performance than Jahvid did…10 yards on seven carries along with an awful fumble that led to a score for the Beavers. Not too good for his Heisman hopes.

It looks like we are going to have another crazy college football season. Stanfurd beats Oregon State which beats U$C! Wow! What’s up with the Beavers crushing some team’s dreams (ours last year) every season? If the Beavers can beat ‘em, so can we. Go Bears!
