Juice, well if you are talking specifically about the Arizona State game, obviously Tedford gave you his explanation. I'm not sure what else you are referring to. The Washington State and Colorado State games were blowouts, and actually the offense performed better in the second half against SCU. Against Maryland, the offense put up a bunch of yards late, albeit fighting back from a big deficit.

JO - Shouldn't Tedford be concerned about the lack of offensive production in the 2nd half? It seems like he is rationalizing it by saying that they wanted to be conservative because they didn't have good field position. No matter what, even with poor field position, shouldn't the offense be expected to produce first downs? Is this another way in which he is unfairly protecting and defending Longshore? From his comments of the past, I would imagine that if it was Riley in there and not producing in the 2nd half, Tedford would have been displeased. It should be a matter of starting fast...and also finishing strong. I imagine that they should both carry the same weight. Look what last year got us...starting fast and finishing several games poorly (see Longshore). I would really appreciate your comments on this. Thanks & Go Bears!
