At Cal’s weekly press luncheon today, coach Jeff Tedford said Kevin Riley will start Saturday’s game against Oregon, “as of right now.” He also went on to praise Riley’s play against UCLA, and said Riley’s mobility will be important against the Ducks’ fierce pass rush. It looks like, barring some dramatic change, Riley will start on Saturday.

Will there be more? Seems like things are real quiet out of Memorial these days. Is Riley taking all of the first team snaps?

Yay JT makes the right decision. Now we can only hope that NL is taking reps with the 2nd team and Riley is taking reps from the 1st team. No more sharing reps… lets get ready to go duck hunting

Shawn B, MoragaBear reported on Bearinsider that they are still sharing 1st team reps. If someone asked why, will be determined in the news published tomorrow. But, my money is on the buffet keeping the media from asking the tough question. Perhaps, Tedford will reveal it in his blog. Yeah, that’ll happen…
Go Bears!

My only concern now is the health of the O-line. I hope Boscovich and Edwards can “hold the rope”…It looks like rain on Saturday, both teams will run baby run. We have the better run defense over Oregon, so we should be alright!

I have to think the health of the o-line and Riley’s mobility was key factor. Now the OC has to call plays that help that.

JO, will Jahvid best be wearing that huge arm elbow gadget all year?
October 28th, 2008 at 10:00 pm
Cal, yes, Best is expected to wear the brace the rest of the year. He says it doesn’t really bother him.
