Football: Tepper likely to petition

Cal coach Jeff Tedford said on the weekly Pac-10 teleconference that offensive tackle Mike Tepper likely will petition for a sixth year of eligibility. Tepper has missed the season recovering from pectoral muscle surgery.

Is this any different than Tom Schneider’s petition for a 6th year (which was rejected)?

It would be nice to have Tepper back next year. He’s got some experience and he’s good.
