Here is my bowl estimations based on what I found and if the likely outcome of sc beating UCLA and CAL beating UW next week…

Rose= u$c vs. Penn State
Holiday= Oregon vs. Oklahoma State
Sun= OSU vs. Notre Dame or Missouri
Vegas= Cal vs. TCU OR Arizona vs. TCU
Emerald= Arizona vs. Florida State OR Cal vs. Florida St
Hawaii= (If ASU wins on Sat.) ASU vs. Hawaii

**Emerald said they would trade for CAL if they are in position for the Vegas bowl**

Cal fans should pray that the Sun Bowl is not a possibility. I read last week that Rutgers is under strong consideration as the opponent in that bowl. That would conjure up memories of 2001, when an 0-10 Cal team barely beat an 0-10 Rutgers team in the last game of the season. Rutgers has been pretty crummy this year, getting bowl eligible by beating up on juggernauts like Army. Emerald or bust!

We don’t want to play the Terps again this year since we’ll play them early in Berkeley next year. Miami or Virginia seem likely. I’d love either of those games.

JO, if the BEARS go to the EMERALD BOWL I wonder if they’ll stay in San Francisco as the Pac-10 team typically does or because they’re only a skip away just prepare in Berkeley???
