Football: Marvin Jones

Some of you may have noticed that wide receiver Marvin Jones got a few reps near the end of the game. I was under the impression he was still eligible to redshirt. I was wrong.
Coach Jeff Tedford said after the game that Jones couldn’t redshirt because he was still practicing with the team. The Bears couldn’t make the case that his knee injury forced him to redshirt since he had been practicing the whole time. So Jones will be a sophomore next season.

Just seen the news from Rival.com that the 3 stars Steven Fanua becomes a bear today. Rank #18 linebacker, whom will add strength to the bears LB’s depth.
