Football: The final greetings of the season

Hello, everyone. I just got settled here in the press box at AT&T Park. I’ve covered a few hundred Giants game at this place over the years, but I’ve never seen it quite like this. The configuration in person looks just as funky as on TV.

The streets outside are bustling with activity, as Cal fans have taken over the adjacent bars and restaurants. Inside, there are just a handful of special teams players working out on the field.

The first thing that strikes you about this setup is just how close the stands are to the field. There isn’t much space between each sideline and the first row of the stands. That could really give the Bears a home-field advantage.

Back with more soon.

A glorious Emerald Bowl to you JO and the millions of Cal fans attending and watching the game!!!!

Ive been ridiculed on this great message board, but Im not going to let it stop me from shouting at the top of my lungs that this is the greatest day to be a Cal football fan!! have you seen the streets of SF!?? The fans of the Bay Area have spoken: this is the best bowl for the best fans for the best team! it doesn’t get better than this!!

I hope we can go Emerald bowling next season!!!
