Cal football: Spring practice pushed back

Cal has decided to delay the start of spring practice by four days. It will now begin on Saturday, March 14 rather than Tuesday, March 10. The session will still end on April 18. The two practices the Bears are losing due to the delay will be made up on other dates, most likely squeezed in on a couple of Sunday. That has yet to be finalized.
The reason the Bears have decided to push back the start of spring is to give the two new coaches on the staff — offensive coordinator Andy Ludwig and offensive line coach Steve Marshall — a little extra time to prepare.

Will there be another open spring practice like the last few years?

CAL was going to be featured on College Football Live. Is this still true?

Ricky, as far as i remember, the past couple of years the one open practice was by invitation only. I will find out for sure.

Hmm I don’t remember that. Maybe we’re talking about different things because there were a few hundred, maybe thousand people to see them scrimmage last year.

The last practice for spring practice last year was a ’scrimmage’. It was free and you just walked into memorial stadium. I remember going and watching them practice and some scrimmage. Nate was out b/c he had a bruised chest (haha). Riley played some, but Mansion and Sweeney got tons of reps. The big thing was Brian Anger’s punts. It was the first we saw. When he kicked it, it sounded like a cannon and the football just hung in the air forever. I can’t wait for this years!!!!

Is it being pushed back so more variations of down the line screens can be implemented?

Is it being pushed back so more variations of down the line screens can be implemented? >>>> No it has been pushed back so that the already existing QB controversy can be intensified. Daddy will be going to some football banquet tonight in Sacramento. I will ask him to ask you coach why it is happening and I will report back my findings.

“I will ask you coach.” Another sign that we’re dealing with a drop out. And he says it’s all a lie…

Calbear, you’re right, it was smits. I just groaned everytime the 3rd stringer took the field, forgot his name.
Yea, Deboskie did play. He did not look good though. However, word has is that he’s put on a significant amount of muscle mass. We need a thunder to complement our Lightning (best). We can be the man if he steps up, he was a very highly recruited RB.

still not understanding why Mr. Okanes or anybody else on the cctimes.com staff isn’t banning this idiotic troll. please, take action and do the right thing.

MoreNC brings up legitimate points. Maybe he’d cease to be such an annoyance if he would stop getting so much damn attention. You’re hyping him up to contend for a national title when he’s going to get dropped by a ‘perennial 3rd place team… – OH SORRY THAT’S SOMEONE ELSE.
