Basketball: Wilkes will be game-time decision

Cal just announced that center Jordan Wilkes’ status for Thursday night’s matchup with USC will be a game-time decision. Wilkes did not do any contact work in practice Monday or Tuesday, and was expected to be limited again Wednesday.

Wilkes broke his nose and suffered a concussion last Thursday during Cal’s win at Oregon and did not play two days later at Oregon State.

No word on how he fared on the computer test given to concussion victims to measure memory and reaction time, but apparently he did not get a definitive favorable result. If Wilkes does play against the Trojans, he is expected to wear a protective mask.
