Cal football: Pro day

By Jonathan Okanes
Tuesday, March 17th, 2009 at 10:57 pm in off-season stuff.

Tomorrow is pro day at Memorial Stadium. Scouts from every NFL team are expected to be there. The players I’ve heard for sure will perform are the following:

Alex Mack

Zack Follett

Worrell Williams

Anthony Felder

Rulon Davis

Cameron Morrah

Nate Longshore

Will Ta’ufo’ou

Sean Young

I’ve heard that Noris Malele won’t work out. Haven’t heard either way about Bernard Hicks or Mika Kane.

I will attend the event and have a post later in the day about it.

    predictions…

Which player will surprise scouts the most?

Mack is sure to put up decent numbers, Follett and morrah already have good numbers,

    anyone else?

    Longshore? Young?

My guess is Will — there should always be a place in the NFL for someone who is a bruiser, and gives his all. He is, afterall, the unsung hero of the Cal running game.

i think the shocker for this years proday is going to be #85 cunningham. I have no idea why Tedford never played him, or at least enough to win games.the other receivers just couldn’t get the job done. especially in clutch situations. Tedford reasoning was that he wasn’t fast enough. But does it really matter that you WR burn their defenders but when the ball comes they can’t catch it. maybe they should just stick with track.

good luck to all the BEARS. all the guys have always been gracious with me and I hope they all impress.
