Eric, I agree that Mohamed is very strong against the pass. D.J. Holt has made some plays so far this spring, as has Mychal Kendricks.

Hey JO, can you shed some light on what happened to Tad Smith last Thursday? I think this injury is going to hurt our Bears in running the ball, what says everyone else?

I'll take Riley's unofficial 50% completion rate and 2 TDs.

Go BEARS!

Well, Riley had a really good day today, and Beau performed pretty well and is adjusting to the speed of the game (obviously, against the 3rd team defense)

I've never seen him play, so this is all speculation. But why do I get the feeling that Beau Sweeney is Tedford's type of quarterback? And I'm not saying that because of their relationship. You didn't hear much about Van Meter or even Kyle Reed back in the day when they were third string. Just call it a hunch, but I really do think this thing is an open competition that goes beyond Riley and Mansion.

"His throwing motion had become too long, his footwork inconsistent. That's been a pet project between the two (JT & KR) in the offseason." ESPN

JO, thanks for the link. The above is music to my ears. On a recent thread someone asked about JT, checkers and the QB's. Well there's your answer. Based on last season, I think it's fair to say KR's decision making was not the problem but accuracy which is a function of footwork so, JT do your QB development thang.

Go Bears!

JO - in the case of the LBs, curious as to whether anyone has stood out in pass coverage. Last year I was impressed by Mike M's instincts that lead to several INTs. Views?
