Robert, the offensive line looks OK. Sometimes they get beat by Cal’s pass rush, but that will improve over time, especially with some young guys now getting a lot of reps. As far as guys standing out, I’d say Tepper looks pretty good. None of the guards have really emerged yet.

Cal, although the competition is open, I’d be very surprised if Riley is not the starter. But I think there is going to be a serious competition to be his backup, and from what I see so far, Sweeney definitely is a legitimate candidate for that role.

Btw JO i noticed we are on Spring Practice No.10, if we are counting the first scrimmage as one of the practices then today’s practice should be No. 9, i feel like you might have skipped one somewhere, just though i might point that out.

Despite everything i am still struggling with the possibility of anyone other than Riley starting this
season, he has experience, talent, etc, just needs to find his poise. Hence i was hoping for a more in depth report on how Riley is doing these days. Other than that great job JO and thanks for the prompt report, we appreciate that.

Beau Sweeney’s starting to sound like the second coming of Aaron Rodgers. Do all 3 of our QBs have a legit shot at coming out on top, not just Riley and Mansion?
