Cal football: Friday reading

Here are a couple of links…

–Here’s my notebook today, focusing on wide receiver Marvin Jones and the excellent spring he is having.

–ESPN.com’s Ted Miller ranks Cal running back Jahvid Best as the No. 2 player in the Pac-10. It looks like Miller will have USC safety Taylor Mays at No. 1, meaning he has Best as the conference’s top offensive player.

    Fellow Bears,

I recently moved to Hawaii. What is the best way to watch most, if not all, of the Bears game out of state? Espn360? Cable (Hawaii has Oceanic cable, no comcast)? Dish network? DirectTV?

I will be there for the Rose Bowl (Cal v. Ohio State) though. Go Bears! Aloha.

Papabear- I think you might be at the wrong place for this question. You need a Amy-free site. I’d go to BearInsider, sign-up for a free account and ask there. There are several Bears like yourself in Hawaii. KoreAMBear pops into my head, is a great alumnus in Hawaii and is major contributor on BearInsider.

I generally watch away games at bars, since the wife and I don’t want TV in our household. On occasion, if the kids are sick or another family crisis, I watch on ESPN360 or PRD74’s JustinTV page which are all right, if you can tolerate small screens.

    Go BEARS!

Jan K Oski- Thanks for the tips. Go Bears!
