Erik Burkhardt, the agent for former Cal quarterback Nate Longshore, just confirmed for me that his client is heading to the MIami Dolphins as a camp invitee. Burkhardt said Longshore was close to going to Cincinnati last night but the Dolphins became a better fit this morning. Longshore will take part in the Dolphins’ rookie mini-camp this weekend.

It’s really nice to hear that teams are interested in him, kind of surprising though. They are obviously intrigued with his size but unless he gets a step or two quicker I just don’t see him cutting it against the NFL speed. Best of luck to Nate, hopefully he can prove us all wrong.
