Cal football: Pac-10 update

It doesn’t appear there was too much to report from the Pac-10 athletic directors meeting in San Francisco over the weekend. One issue on the table was the idea of football going back to an eight-game conference schedule, but that reportedly was shot down.

There were also discussions on ways to eliminate costs, and several measures are being considered. One interesting proposal is to have football teams no longer stay in hotels the night before home games. Schools may also consider moving to strictly online media guides, something that major programs such as Ohio State and Michigan are already doing.
