Cal football: Barbour named AD of the Year

Cal athletic director Sandy Barbour is one of four recipients of the Under Armour Athletic Director of the Year Award, handed out by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics. The award is given to four regional winners in the Football Bowl Subdivision.

Sandy SOOOO deserves this. If anyone can point to a misstep while she’s been at Cal, I’d love to see it. We’re lucky as hell to have her.

And unlike Mike Garrett, she doesn’t have to deal with those pesky “lack of institutional control” issues.

Congratulations to S Barbour. She is one of the best things to happen to Cal athletics.
