Markhuri Sanders-Frison, the JC transfer who hopes to become Cal’s starting center this season, is taking two online classes to complete his “AA” degree and told me he expects to be on campus in Berkeley by Aug. 1. Here’s my story from today’s editions on the the Portland, Ore., native.

laziness has no place in the montgomery program. braun was cool with devon hardin walking around and doing nothing, but that just doesn’t fly around here any more. hopefully he’s motivated and gets his act together. sounds like he could really make a big impact (but even a legit 6′8″ does not a center make).
