When we beat U$C this year, we will have a bye week, then go to UCLA to play. We haven’t beaten UCLA in Pasadena on Tedford’s watch. I don’t think UCLA is better than us, but if there was ever a trap game, this is it! I hope I am absolutely wrong on this.

Otherwise, #8 in the Pac 10 is guaranteed. Arizona is a much better team than PUCLA and Stanford will work them real good.

College teams have a tough time winning closely matched games on the road. UCLA plays its two main competitors, Stanfurd and Az, on the road. They will lose both.

They play Cal, Wash, Oregon, and ASU at home. They win two of these games plus Wash St., for a 3-6 Pac-10 record and an 8th place finish.
