Remarkably lazy.
September 27th, 2009 at 7:02 am
A team-wide choke. Riley couldn’t pass, the receivers couldn’t catch, the best running back in the country wasn’t allowed to play, and the offensive line couldn’t block. On defense, why did Cal play a prevent defense right from the first quarter, rushing only three linemen, and putting eight men back on defense. This gave the Oregon QB all day long to throw the ball to receivers that were open all day long.
More than anything, the coaches blew this one big time. I’ve been watching cal for 50 years, and this is the worst game plan I’ve ever seen. Did Holmoe return as head coach?

I got to hand it to one of your fans. Here is what I posted yesterday (in case yo udidn’t read it). Look at the time. This is a true story. Anyone know this guy?

So I went to my nearest store to buy something for lunch today (Whole Foods in Sacramento) when the guy working the cash register asked the guy in line what he was planning on doing today. The guy in line said he was planning to watch college football. The other guy asked him what team he was rooting for and wouldn’t you know it it was your team.
So the cash register guy said “I believe your team is picked to win that game.” The other guy said “Yes we are but I have been a fan of that team going on 45 years and you never think you are going to win just because you are favored. I have been through more disappointments than I care to let on to.”
The cash register said “You should have some confidence in your team if you are really a fan of that team.” The guy said “Not if you root for this program.”
Anyway after he left the cash register and I had a good laugh. He told me he is applying for your school but if he makes it into Stanford he is going there instead.

Gee, where were you last week when USC lost to a team that went 0-12 last year? Why do you find it necessary to come to every Cal related site to talk smack? You do know that looks poorly upon USC, right? Oh, who am I kidding, the last thing you are is rational.
September 27th, 2009 at 8:46 am
I missed the taunting penalty. Who was it called against?
September 27th, 2009 at 9:16 am
Tucker. It erased a PI call in the end zone.
September 27th, 2009 at 9:20 am
in tucker’s defense, he wasn’t taunting, he was yelling at the guy for harassing him on the play. taunting is what you do when you actually make the catch. taunting it rubbing it in. still, it was foolish. bears, you will have my complete support next week. i’ll be yelling my lungs out, but if you come out with no heart again, like you did yesterday, prepare to get booed. tedford and ludwig, you’re on notice.

Every duck has its day!
September 27th, 2009 at 11:40 am
coaches must be smoking crack. we’re still ranked ahead of oregon in their poll. wow.
September 27th, 2009 at 11:44 am
btw, i still feel awful today. it feels the same as a high-school break-up. painful and helpless and depressing. got a ton of work to do this week, and am no longer motivated to do anything whatsoever, except sit and mope. i feel betrayed. our bears got declawed.
September 27th, 2009 at 12:10 pm
we are ranked below Oregon in the polls….

Moron spent last night posting. Not going out with friends or a date on a saturday night, but posting. And the first thing he does when he gets up in the morning? Rushes to the computer and posts some more.
Seriously — pity this troll for this is all he has.
September 27th, 2009 at 12:27 pm
So I was at the Whole Foods store in Sacramento last night, and there was this geeky guy in front of me asking the clerk about where he would apply for college. The geeky guy laughed when the clerk said he wanted to go to Cal or Stanford. After the geek left, the cash register guy started laughing. He says that geeky guy comes in every friday and saturday night and picks up some porno mags and Pepsi. “Clearly he’s got no life but his computer”. And every one in the line and in the store and in the entire nation laughed at the little troll.
September 27th, 2009 at 12:29 pm
we’re ranked below oregon in the ap. in the coaches poll, we’re 19th, and oregon is 25th.
September 27th, 2009 at 12:56 pm
Did your team’s fall from 6 to 24 represent the largest fall ever by a top 10 team from one week to the next and/.or one game to the next? You might want to check that out.
Just like I said we are right back in the hunt for the NC. #7 and climbing. Of course after we beat you guys we probably will fall in rankings.
September 27th, 2009 at 2:40 pm
god you are such a pain.
September 27th, 2009 at 2:51 pm
Said linebacker Spencer Paysinger of the Cal offense: “It was like we already knew what you’re about to do and you’re still doing it.”
That’s because you did young Paysinger. Everybody knows what Cal is going to do. We all sit in the stands and call out what the play is going to be time after time. After we are right so often, people sitting around look at us laughing as if we were related to Allison Dubois (you know, Medium). Cal has to be the easiest team to game plan for. Predictable, uncreative on both sides of the ball. Coaches in this conference have now seen Tedford for enough years that they have a pretty good chance of outsmarting the Bears. It doesn’t matter who the Cal OC is, the results are the same the past 5 years. Remember when Tedford got here and you never knew aht he was going to call? Thiose days are long gone.
Defense- Prevent D pretty much the whole game. Definition of prevent D? Rush 3, drop 8 into soft zones … yep, looks like what we saw most of the game yesterday. Oh, and let’s not actually go react to the only player anywhere in my zone until the ball actually leaves the quarterback’s hand. Let’s just stand here and cover the open air in the center of my zone. Brilliant gameplan.
Offense- Let’s either run up the gut into 8 defenders in the box, or let’s have Riley drop back 7 steps, hold the ball for 4-5 seconds until the receivers are 40 yards downfield and throw a bomb. Was Al Davis calling plays down from his box at the Coliseum? Did Tedford/Ludwig lose their minds yesterday? I have seen some clueless play calling in my life, but yesterday’s just took the cake.
Listen, the team play lousy yesterday, no doubt. But no matter how well they would have played yesterday, Cal still would have lost due the awful strategy/gameplan/play calling by the coaches. They were just awful. Don’t throw Andy Ludwig under the bus. While he might suck, Tedford hired him, Tedford is his mentor, they think more alike than any OC that Tedford has hired. If Tedford can neuter Mike Dunlap, that tells you all you need to know about his philosophy and who the real OC always really is.
I don’t want to rain more on everybody’s parade, but what gives any Cal fan any hope that Cal will beat SC this week? The only time we did, it was when Cal snuck up on SC and Cal had no pressure and nothing to lose. SC just beats Cal. Pete Carroll just beats Jeff Tedford. That’s just the way it is.
Every year I get my hopes up, and every year it is the same thing. As long as Tedford is here, and it may be a long, long time, I don’t see Cal living up to it’s potential and talent. And remember, the past 2 years, Cal has had a mediocre and a just decent recruiting classes that will funneling their way into prominent roles over the next few seasons. A tank job this year will make a 3rd year in a row of subpar recruiting. Prety soon, Cal won’t even have the comparable talent to be considered disappointing for underachieving.
So while I won’t get my hopes up, I will be hoping for a bit of a miracle this Saturday. I’ll take it anyway I can get it. SC is clearly not what they have been every other year during the Carroll era. I can see why Carroll was not happy Mark Sanchez left a year early. But every time Cal has a huge opportunity, it get squandered. This was the worst yet. The headlines said this was the worst loss in the Tedford era. That is true for a myriad of reasons beyond the score. Opportunity only comes along so many times in life.

Maybe the guy who climbed into the zoo enclosure was a moron who wanted to talk trash to the bears.
September 27th, 2009 at 7:49 pm
I’m think I might quit reading this post b/c half of it is filled with the moron as an agitator. It’s no fun. He seems to exist only to annoy people, not root for his team or point out interesting plays or tactics.
My only request would be to have JO eliminate him once and for all. It’s fine to have alternative opinions and root for other teams. Welcome in fact. It’s not fine to walk into a room and have the biggest pain in the ass there to greet you. At bars, these people get tossed out the back door. They ruin everybody’s fun. There’s gotta be other, better, bars to visit, no?
JO – he brings you down, and us all.
Moron, please stop being an agitator.

Toby Gerhardt = “best” runningback in the Bay Area and true Heisman trophy candidate
September 27th, 2009 at 8:16 pm
Let me ask a serious question. How many of you have watched your team lose more than they win? If you have been following for the past 25 years you are definitely in the loss column. So what’s the big deal about getting destroyed and embarrased yesterday? You guys need to relax. Daddy is already over it. My pastor spoke today about Overcoming Adversity. Maybe you should Ipod his message.
September 27th, 2009 at 8:55 pm
Help us out moron, we don’t know how to deal with letdowns! I mean it’s not like were used to it by now.
Please tell us how you took it and overcame advercity when USC laid the egg last week, so we have an idea on how to heal.
September 27th, 2009 at 9:36 pm
Why do you ask me. Out of your last 14 conference road games you are an abysmal 2-12. Why don’t you give me some ideas?
September 28th, 2009 at 6:00 am
It’s funny that you answer to “moron”. Ha!
September 28th, 2009 at 9:40 am
Uh Oh- moron will never stop being an agitator. Its its entire life to be so. Its the only thing this person has to do with itself.
September 28th, 2009 at 9:53 am
JO / CC Times:
I am of exactly the same mindset as Uh Oh. I used to be a lot more active on these boards but moron is one big reason why I frequent less frequently.
I can’t imagine it’s not in your best interest to block moron, once and for all.
September 28th, 2009 at 9:56 am
J.O.
I am very serious. MorenN.. must be sanctioned like the other website did. Read all his comments. Nothing, but to just taunting to aggitate the rest of us to find enjoyment for himself. He does not belong here. Or, we all leave for good.
September 28th, 2009 at 1:43 pm
Sick of the troll? Like to be able to block her posts? Your day is here.
If you are a Firefox user then please stand by for a solution to turn moreNCSarecoming into moreNCSareignored, I need a few minutes to get it documented with notes and screenshots and upload it somewhere.
In the meanwhile install the Greasemonkey script engine into Firefox – you can find it via google. I should have something up shortly.
Right now the greasemonkey script only works here on ibabuzz, but should be pretty easy to get it enabled to work with Ted Millers pac10 blog with a bit more time spent on enhancing the script. Other sites with the annoying troll visits can be supported as well.

Laughable, truly laughable. Most of you crying for my banishment are the same ones who try to bait me by calling me names and by ripping on USC. Remember – “the Univ. of Sleazy Cheaters” and the Univ of Sports Corruption”. It’s OK as long as you guys were winning but now you want banishment. In my books that is called a “poor sport”. And that is all that I have set out to prove on these blogs from day 1. You talk a lot trash (just like your players) but how pathetic. Frankly I have been the only poster on here who consistently talks football. And to ask for it right before our game shows me once again you have no confidence in your team, coaches and program (of course I wouldn’t either). You are no fans. You are just posers.
September 28th, 2009 at 2:31 pm
hope this works, greasemonkey script is hosted on userscripts dot org, script name is blockAmy
use the forum link there for any questions/problems

Here is a fascinating posts by a Duck fan.
“In watching a replay of the game on OSN, Mike Bellotti made what I thought was an interesting comment when asked if the Cal and Boise State offenses were similar. Paraphrasing he said,
“Oh no! They are vary different. Boise uses a lot of different sets and misdirection. Cal is running the same basic offense we ran here at Oregon 10-15 years ago. Jeff told me that when Ludwig came on they were able to talk the same language regarding the offense. which is the same language we used here during the time they were both coordinators”
I was a bit surprised early last week to learn that Ludwig was now your OC. I started telling all the negaduck who thought we had no chance that if Dugwig was the coordinator we always have a chance. But beyond that is there any particular reason that Tedford insists on using what is now a pretty old offensive scheme?
“

The Internet Explorer solution is to install GreaseMonkey for IE, download here: http://www.gm4ie.com/
