i totally agree. oregon was insanely loud. it wouldn’t surprise me if they cranked up the amps and put a mic on the crowd, either. i wasn’t there, but had a friend say it was the loudest thing he’s ever heard. so at least we don’t have to worry about that anymore. but finishing at stanfurd and then washington is a lot to ask of any team. we always have trouble in arizona, and for some reason, we never win in the rose bowl. at least we won’t be a top 10 team at that point. this week off is going to be especially painful if we can’t get a W on saturday. go bears.

This was going to be the biggest game in Cal’s modern football history, but not now.

If the Bears win it will still be at least one of the biggest games in Cals’s modern football history. They’ll still be in the run for the Rose Bowl with a win and USC will be hurting. They would still have to figure out how to win on the road, though.

Oregon will not look like they did last week every week.

It seems this is a convenient week to stomp on Coach Tedford and I’m guilty to a certain extent in stomping
HOWEVER; those who advocate running him out of town are overlooking the fact that he is looked upon as a top notch coach by his peers(those folks who know football & coaching)

It would be difficult to find someone else of his ability, or better, to come to Berkeley. Be careful what you wish for, etc

you can get them for under 100 on stubhub, and print from home. the fees are a pain, but not unbearable. and prices will probably drop in the next couple days. they usually drop as people panic sell closer to the event. (but there are only 577 for sale). and there’s always tightwad hill.

I am coming up for the game from Southern California, but I am not going to pay the stupid scalper’s prices being requested on Craig’s list. These people still think the tickets are worth $150 a pop. I told a guy holding two tix in the young alumni section – QQ – that I would pay $85 a ticket and no more. Haven’t heard from him, but I am hoping he comes to his senses by Friday. This was going to be the biggest game in Cal’s modern football history, but not now. If you have patience, I think you can score tickets for very near face value by kickoff. Such is the nature of Cal’s very fickle fan base.

yes. if you go to the game, you might see one of the best bounce-backs from adversity in cal history. if we lose, you can still drink heavily at raleighs, henrys, kips, or people’s park. and if we get smoked, you can be among the chorus of boos that rain down upon tedford.

Thanks for your comments. I feel bad kicking this old tired dog,but, I attended the first 2 games and saw this pass defense get handled. Apparently the coaches didn’t see this because no adjustments were made. I figured the PAC 10 teams were going to jump all over this pass defense scheme.
Masoli had questionable passing stats because he played against teams that had good pass defense schemes. I posted last week that this pass defense will make average QBs look good.

Jan,Larry,NoDuck, Rollon; can you say something that will get me out from underneath my bed and get to the game Saturday. I have season tickets and travel 500 miles to watch my Bears. If I have to watch this pass defense again, I’m afraid I will urt myself.

Opposing teams TE’s have always been the Achilles heel in our defense. SC and other teams seem to already know this. I’m sure we’ll all know the name of SC’s TE by the end of Saturday. Let’s just hope that CAL scores more points then SC after 4 Qtrs.
