–My notebook today, leading with Cal taking busses to UCLA instead of a charter plane.
–After the last game, UCLA is looking for improved play from its quarterback (sound familiar?).
–Saturday’s game will be a battle of two inconsistent teams.
–UCLA is demonstrating a great discrepancy between offense and defense.

yes, “improved play from the quarterback” sounds familiar. but not in reference to the bears. i think it’s a better reference for the ducks. they were looking for “improved play” from massoli, and that’s exactly what they got. we need to stop panicking when teams stack the box, an look at it as a gift. short passes. make ‘em pay. come on bears.

Do you know how much money actually will be saved? Whatever amount was saved by not flying down must be offset by the cost of the bus(ses) and the extra night in the hotel or will they be sleeping on the bus(ses)?
It doesn’t appear to be that economically feasible.

I, too, would like to know what the trade-offs were in taking a bus vs. flying. (dollars vs. time vs. other)
