One notable starting lineup change. D.J. Holt is going to start at outside iinebacker in place of Mychal Kendricks. Holt started getting reps on the outside during the week and defensive Bob Gregory had said he would start playing more at that spot, but never said he would start. Not sure if the decision is because Kendricks missed some practice time during the bye week with a shoulder injury, or simply a coach’s decision. Kendricks practiced without limitation this week. He leads the Pac-10 in tackles.
Other changes: Jeremy Ross will start for Verran Tucker at wide receiver, but Tucker will still play as he comes back from a calf injury. Also, as expected, Matt Summers-Gavin is back in the starting lineup at left guard after missing one game with a shoulder injury.
