Washington coach Lorenzo Romar says seven of his 12 players, including senior forward Quincy Pondexter, have had the flu since last Saturday, making practice nearly impossible.
Romar, noting that none of the players have the H1N1 virus or swine flu, said this is the worst bout with illness any of his teams have experienced.
Makes you wonder if the anticipated severe flu season may at some point impact the outcome of a critical game.
Word from Cal is that everyone at Haas Pavilion is healthy.

My 4 yr old nephew outside Chicago WAS just diagnosed with H1N1 (swine) flu…
Fever of 105 and quarantined upon walking into the hospital. (He’ll be fine, but still.)
Vaccine is now available. We’re going next week.
Maybe should have his players and staff go, too.
