Giorgio Tavecchio’s 51-yard field goal was Cal’s first field goal of 50 yards or more since Tom Schneider’s 55-yarder against Stanford in 2006.

Again, the failure to run a simple power or veer is killing us. # and 2 at the 50 yard line…and we pass and it should have been picked off. I worry our defense is going to get worn out.
ASU has figured it out – run hard, and they get first downs. We haven’t figured that out.
Of course, I am starting to sound like a broken record. 3 and 2, and we throw again. Granted, Ross dropped the pass, and it probably would have been a first down, but all we are doing is playing into ASU’s hands. Stanfurd DESTROYED ASU by continuously pounding away.
I agree with you about third-and-two. It’s become an automatic passing down and it shouldn’t be. It would help, though, if Veran Tucker and Jeremy Ross would catch the ball on third down. Marvin Jones and Anthony Miller do. Miller, btw, is going to be a good one.
Hey, Bears win! Bears win!
