The field of four teams headed to Madison Square Garden next week for the Coaches vs. Cancer tournament remains unbeaten after 16th-ranked Ohio State’s 72-44 rout of James Madison. Forward Evan Turner, who had a triple-double three nights earlier against Alcorn State, had 24 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Buckeyes.
Cal, Syracuse, North Carolina and Ohio State all are 2-0 after this week’s preliminary-round tournament games. Cal faces Syracuse, and Carolina takes on Ohio State in Thursday’s semifinals.
