Ex-Cal star Jason Kidd came up one point shy of a triple-double, totaling nine points, 17 assists and 10 rebounds in the Mavericks’ 115-113 overtime victory over Milwaukee.
Kidd has 103 career triple-doubles, third in NBA history behind Oscar Robertson (181) and Magic Johnson (138). He has recorded at least one in 14 consecutive seasons, but has not logged one in 2009-10.
Elsewhere, Ryan Anderson returned to action with the Orlando Magic after missing four games with an ankle sprain. The 2008 Pac-10 scoring leader from Cal had 12 points in 19 minutes in a 97-91 win over Charlotte.
