Yes, I meant Locker.

The perception of what happened last year is in the eye of the beholder.

My perception is that there was no ‘intent’ to run up the score. Washington’s perception may be different.

He set the Cal record and then got pulled.

Actually, I’m pretty sure I got it mixed up. He was on track to set the ncaa record, and I think we pulled him after he set the Cal record, and was about 30-40 yds shy of breaking the pac-10 record. I’m pretty sure about this, but yeah either way it was a monster game (that came from 19 carries!).

Yup Will, we did. We pulled him out shortly after he broke the pac 10 record if I remember correctly. The NCAA record would have been broken at the end of 3rd, if not beginning of 4th qtr had we kept Best in.

I also disagree about us rolling up the score last year. The running lanes were huge. Best and our backs would have had to intentionally fall down to avoid scoring. We need to go up there and play our game, and nuetralize Locker as best as possible.

Didn’t we pull Best early to midway through the third quarter despite his chance at the single game rushing record? I wouldn’t call that running up the score. They were just a really, really bad team.

We should watch out for them, it’ll be important to contain Locker inside the pocket, and then hopefully our secondary will lockdown on their receivers.
