Football: Still nothing on Best

The announcement regarding Jahvid Best’s status apparently has been pushed back. Jeff Tedford had said it would be Sunday or Monday, but nothing is expected to come down today. Since the team is off until Wednesday, it might not be before then before there is an update.

Do you know how many poinsettas the winning team members receive?

  • ToparchiBear

    Off the topic.

Former Cal star, Desean Jackson had just made history this weekend by enter the record book on his performance over a powerful NY Giant with 1 punt return TD, a Receiving TD, and impressive +275 total yards.

    Go Bears!

Oh yeah! Former $C commit and socal RB Briggs is a Bear! Tedford has stopped being polite about recruiting, and we will see the benefit in years to come. Way to adapt Coach! The talk is that there should be 2 or 3 more commits this week! The SAHPC is already paying dividends.

    Go BEARS!

I’m loving it!! Word out of memorial is that this was an enormously sucsessful weekend for the bears. Don’t be surprised if this is a top 15 year for our

Hey moron, do you know how many nuts your team will get when they lose to a terrible Boston college team?

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Probably the same amount your team got but a poinsetta is nowhere near the value of a rose. Enjoy the “other” red flower bowl game.

My sources tell me Briggs was injurd much of the season, would have played as a blocking fullback and no one tried real hard to keep him. We feel relieved he went your way. As for your recruiting you would do much better if you worried about keeping your local guys home – Boyett (Napa – Oregon), Armstead (USC – Sacramento), McAllister (USC – East Bay), Tupou (USC – Sacramento), Carswell (USC – East Bay), Greene (USC – SF), Nottingham (pucla – East Bay), etc. And what about all the DLS boys that head up north for their regular signing day. I hope you enjoy the Kevin Harts of the world. That’s your future. LOL

Does Barkley tell Petey who to go out and recruit? Do potential recruits have to come in and interview with Barkley first?
I heard rumors that Petey has a special system in place just for him now.

  • Dan

Ridiculous logic Moren- SC offered, he accepted- done deal. They wanted him, he decided he didn’t want them. He must be very smart, therefore worthy of being a sturdy Golden Bear.

And why would you put him down if he were to play FB? Isn’t FB integral at SC? If you say no, I throw Stanley Havili at you. If you say no, I wouldn’t be surprised, given the drivel that spews out.

So please, just admit you are wrong (as usual). And most of the names you throw out that went elsewhere were not even recruited by Cal. I also seem to recall that the Trojans were willing to pay Desean Jackson almost as much as they paid Reggie Bush, but he still didn’t want to play in South Central.

Your boy Petey even flew up to sit in the stands to try to get Jahvid to come sell his soul. But alas, Jahvid is too smart and has too much class to fall for that noise.

Nut Bowl this year for the crumbling empire, the other red flower bowl next year, and then Petey will be off to greener pastures. Isn’t life grand?

More sources tell me that Barkley is already one of the best qb’s in the country.

  • House

Moron you misread my question, I asked how many nuts your condems will get when the LOSE to a pathetic BC team, see we won our game. You guys are the bigger letdown this year, who saw that coming after the fluke 30-3 game?

  • Jan K Oski

My life experiences tell me that fair weather fans eventually talk a lot about the past, not the present, nor the future.

  • robert

Hey Moron, Petey was also quoted by Wolf as saying that if Sanchez came back this year it would have been questionable whether or not he could beat out Barkley.

Petey also said that Sanchez was probably not a first round pick, and was making a mistake coming out. Petey said that Mays would be better off coming back. STRIKE THREE!!!!!!

Clearly $c “evaluations” are now a complete joke. So I really hope they are down on Briggs. Bears have a COMPLETE STAR on their hands then.
